Best Places To Move To: Places that meet some spectacular criteria.?
From the following criteria, do you know of any place that matches up? I’m trying to decide where I will move to next, but am stuck on just a few choices. I’d like to have more options. Here’s the type of place I am looking for:
1. Has a professional baseball team (Major or Minor League)
2. Has a professional football team within a 3 or 4 hour drive
3. Has plenty of water nearby, ocean or freshwater, at least within 2 hours drive
4. Has at least one college or university (maximum 20 minute drive)
5. Is close to an airport, (within 3 hours drive)
6. Has some history
7. Is near a big city (within 1 hour drive)
So far I’m looking at Raleigh/Durham NC, Nashville TN, Savannah GA, Virginia Beach VA, Charleston SC. Now, I know it seems I’m looking towards the south, but that’s not so. It’s just that those are the only places I’ve found to meet my criteria so far. That’s why I need your help.
So let’s hear some suggestions!
We live in Greenville, SC and we have
1. Greenville Drive (Minor league)
2. A professional football team within 3 hours (Atlanta)
3. There are tons of lakes
4. We have Furman university as well as Clemson, and Lander and USC is within 1 and 1/2 hours
5.We have GSP international
6. There is history as is in most southern places
7. Greenville is a big city the 5th largest in the state and Columbia the largest is about an hour and a 1/2 drive
Not to mention the weather is great
Crime rate is low
Housing prices are great
We have BMW and Michelin main headquarters here as well as a hitachi, 3M, and GE plant
