Outdoor basketball hoops are probably the most popular kind of goals you can see bought today. While basketball was originally designed to be an indoor game, people have since found that it is fantastic to play outdoors as well. If you plan on playing a lot outdoors, especially if you live in a part of the country that suffers from rough weather, it’s important to keep these things in mind when shopping for your basketball hoop.
Anti Rust Coating – One of the biggest differences between indoor and outdoor basketball hoops is that outdoor basketball hoops have an anti rust coating on all steel fixtures. While its true that these coating fight off rust very effectively, there is no such thing as a completely rust proof metal, so it’s smart to do a little of your own rust proofing to increase the longevity of your basketball goal. One of the best ways to do this is by using a little WD-40 on all of the jointed and connections of your basketball hoop. This will displace the water, and help keep the rust at bay for years longer.
Net Upgrade- If you think that your outdoor basketball hoop will have to suffer through some rough weather conditions, you might want to think about upgrading your net. Cheap nylon basketball nets can easily break apart after being subjected to the hot sun or crashing rain. One way to get around this problem is simply through getting a heavy duty net anti whip nylon net, a metal chain basketball net, or perhaps even a
Glass Backboard – Acrylic backboards, especially acrylic backboards that are roughly 3/8 or 1/2 inch thick, perform very will and are extremely durable. But there is one aesthetic concern about them if you plan on using your backboard for many years. After a very long time of being exposed to the sun, acrylic backboards have a tendency to lose their clarity and actually start to yellow. If you wish to avoid this, it’s a smart move to switch over to looking at glass backboards. Glass doesn’t yellow over time, and has the added benefit of giving better performance and rebound.
It’s a lot easier to enjoy your outdoor basketball hoop when you know you have got the best deal that you can possibly get. Make sure to research all of the different basketball goals that you save as much money as you can when you buy.

How do you call it, indoor baseball with a machine?
I’ve always wanted to go do indoor sports. I’ve seen it in movies but I don’t know where to find those places and don’t even know how they call it. It’s a place where there’s a machine that generate balls and the person inside the net would try to hit it. Indoor baseball? Please, don’t mine me for being slow and kindly tell me. Thanks in advance!
PS
I would love to go to Los Angeles…or somewhere around it.
BATTTING CAGES are all over the place
Peyton Bonds, 3 years old @ BB Grandslam , hitting in the 45mpg cage
It is very easy to get into the habit of pulling off the ball. This is especially true for power hitters. Have you ever seen a power hitter hit a home run and thereafter, he can’t couch the ball? What happened? The home run took him out of himself. So as he pivots, he is also pivoting his head. Read the rest of it here: Click Here
