What If You Injure Your Elbow In Golf Play

Elbow injuries and the resulting pain in the area are quite common. Young people can injure their elbows in collision sports like football and ice hockey, contact sports like basketball and soccer and noncontact sports like baseball, volleyball and tennis. Elbow injuries are also common after household accidents, and the aging process can cause all sorts of elbow problems. There are several different ways of treating elbow problems.

Rest
If you have been active with your elbow in sports or around the house, give your elbow a chance to heal by resting. Sit around, watch a movie or go to sleep. Don’t even read a book because you will have to hold the book and turn pages. Rest your elbow for 24-to-48 hours if you can. This can often relieve your pain.

Ice and Heat Applications
Treat your injury with an ice pack for the first 24 hours. Put an ice pack directly on the injury for 15 minutes out of every hour in the first 24 hours after an injury (time out for sleeping is allowed). In the second 24 hours, continue to ice your injury once an hour, but every second hour treat it with a heating pad for 15 minutes. This will help relieve your pain.

Stretching
Do light stretching to try to loosen the elbow and adhesions that may have developed. Put your right arm across the top of your upper body so your forearm is pointing to the left. Take your left hand and put it on the point of your right elbow. Press in on the elbow with slight pressure. Hold it for a count of three and relax. Do this 10 times, and then do the same for your other elbow.

Pain Medication
In order to help you feel better, it is fine to take over-the-counter pain medications. Aspirin, ibuprofen, naproxen sodium and ketoprofen are nonsteroidal anti-inflammatories that will not upset your stomach. Acetaminophen can also be an effective pain reliever but may have an impact on your digestive system.

Cortisone Injections
If you have treated your elbow with rest, ice and heat, stretching and over-the-counter medication and you have not started to feel better, you should see your doctor. He or she may offer a cortisone injection in a spot near the pain to give you relief. Cortisone is a steroid, and it will work at least 50 percent of the time. If it does not, you may have a serious elbow injury that will require further attention.

how fast in a paintball gun!!!!???

on average how fast does a paintball gun go and im going tomarow for the first time. If i wear 3 sweaters 2 t shirt chest protector, under armor, elbow pads, gloves, thigh pads, 3 pairs of jeans 1 shorts, and and 3 pair of long baseball shocks, an all around helmet a neckpad a hood to protect neck would i get hurt??

are you sure that you can even move in all of that? you must have over 10 pounds of stuff on, most fields limit the guns to under 300fps, which still hurts when you get hit, but most of the hurt comes from you being surprised that you even got hit, not the hit itself,

all that i go with is a pair of shorts, knee/shin pads, my paintball pants, a t-shirt or under armor, elbow pads, and my paintball jersey, and of course my paintball cleats. you dont need a neck protector, there are very, very, very little chance of getting hit in the neck/throat, you have a higer chance of getting shot on the top of your head

Raven “Hell Patrol”

It is very easy to get into the habit of pulling off the ball. This is especially true for power hitters. Have you ever seen a power hitter hit a home run and thereafter, he can’t couch the ball? What happened? The home run took him out of himself. So as he pivots, he is also pivoting his head. Read the rest of it here: Click Here
