Racor Racks, Bike Racks, Tool Racks And Fishing Pole Racks, Truly Man’s Best Friend
A wise man once said “a place for everything and everything in its place”. This is perfect in theory but not so easily executed. We are so busy and stressed these days that who has time to keep track of everything? Sometimes it just seems overwhelming. I was stressed out, irritated and baffled by the unorganized mess that was my garage. After years of spending countless hours looking for things and finding things that were broken because of improper storage, I got smart. I got Racor racks. I got organized and found piece of mind. Racor makes a variety of sturdy practical racks to organize and protect all of your favorite and frequently used items.
My garage was an absolute nightmare. It was an array of tools and bikes and toys and sports equipment that was scattered all over the place. If I needed so much as a hammer it would take me half an hour to locate it. The bikes were leaning against the wall, the kids sporting equipment was piled up on the workbench, my fishing rods were lined up in the corner and my tools were quite frankly, everywhere. Enough was enough already, I couldn’t even stand going in there.
I started with the bicycles, my biggest bone of contention. I was sick of falling over them and moving them to get to things behind them. Racor has an aluminum bike and ladder rack that is too cool for words. It is attached to the ceiling and lowers allowing you to hook the bike into it and then release it so that the bike travels up and it is stored vertically against the ceiling. The bikes are now safely stored over my head. No more falling over them or moving them out of the way. They are literally up, up and away. The amount of space that this alone had created was amazing. Now that I have sent the bikes up, I had the walking room to start organizing the rest of the garage.
I purchased a couple of Racor fishing pole racks next and neatly and methodically began inserting my many fishing rods into it. I then anchored the rack to the garage wall. This was great, my rods were all neatly organized and no more hooks getting wound around line on the other rods like before. The rods were all snuggly in place and at my disposal in seconds. I am ready to hit the water anytime the mood strikes me whereas before, when I got the urge to fish, I blew it off because I didn’t want to go untangle my rods. Now I just detach one of my rods, grab the tackle box and I’m on my way.
My next purchase was a Racor Quad ski and pole rack. In the corner opposite to my old fishing pole corner was my pile of snow skis, poles, boots and bindings that was a horrible unorganized mess. I was able to neatly organize everything into this rack which I then in turn mounted to wall alongside of my fishing pole rack. I am an avid skier and had not been skiing in many years mostly due to the pile of ski equipment that I just couldn’t bring myself to tackle. I am on the slopes again this year though. It’s almost too easy to go with my new super organized ski equipment.
At this stage of the game this garage makeover thing was beginning to actually get fun. This was partly due to the fact that I could now actually walk through the garage. I took on the kids sporting goods next. The bats, the balls, the hockey sticks, the skates, the helmets, you name it. I purchased something called a Racor X Rack. It is a multi tiered rack with mesh and wire type baskets to hold all of the many balls and helmets and a neat system to hang the bats, the sticks and the Baseball Mitts. The bottom of the rack has a shelf that allows storage for skates, boots and sports shoes. It took me very little time to get the rack filled up and my kids were thrilled when they saw it. They could actually find things now and the added bonus is that they actually put their stuff away. I always knew there was hope.
My tools were now starting to magically appear. Little by little as I was organizing things, my tools were turning up everywhere. Tools I didn’t even remember that I had anymore. This was almost as good as Christmas and since I was feeling Christmassy, you guessed it, I went out and bought Racor tool racks. I bought 2 Racor wheelbarrow and ladder racks and up the wheelbarrow went on one wall and the ladder went up on the other wall. I bought a Racor lawn and garden rack and organized my shovels, rakes and hoes. It was quick, easy, and out of the way. I got an Racor aluminum tool hanger which houses bottles of anti freeze, windshield washer fluid and other such items in the back and holds the tools I use the most frequently in the front. No more digging through my entire toolbox every time I need a hammer or a screwdriver.
My garage is now neat as a pin and so organized I can hardly stand it. I even bring the neighbors over to show it off. Many of them had seen the before and after of my garage and they cannot even believe that it is the same place. I spend a lot of time in my garage these days as it is truly a pleasure to do so. It amazes me how I could be so happy in a place that I used to avoid like the plague. Racor also offers many other types of racks and storage systems tailored to suit almost everyone’s needs. Thanks Racor for the organization and the piece of mind!

Where to purchase a certain type of trouser rack?
I saw in a book a trouser rack that is mounted on the wall and the wooden dowls or racks were shaped like part of a baseball bat. Anyone know where I can find the plans to build or where I can buy them?
It sounds easy to build, just get some 1X4 and a couple of hinges. Cut the 1X4 in equal lengths, attach the hinges, than drill holes in the outer piece of 1X4 and insert dowels/cut off baseball bat, glue in place and wa la. All you have to do is attach it to a stud
It is very easy to get into the habit of pulling off the ball. This is especially true for power hitters. Have you ever seen a power hitter hit a home run and thereafter, he can’t couch the ball? What happened? The home run took him out of himself. So as he pivots, he is also pivoting his head. Read the rest of it here: Click Here
